Chef Jeffrey Schlissel, affectionately known as Cheffrey and now the Kingpin of the Bacon Cartel, has been a culinary maestro for over 30 years. What began as a simple hobby with his mother evolved into a lifelong passion. With extensive experience in diverse cuisines, Chef Jeffrey specializes in a unique blend he calls Floribbeanasian, combining Pan Asian and Floribbean flavors using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. His culinary creativity extends to modern cuisine and innovative dishes, including a groundbreaking vegan bone marrow.
Growing up in South Florida, Chef Jeffrey developed a palate for bold, fiery Latin flavors mixed with sweet, tropical notes, creating a Zen-like experience for the taste buds. His rich background includes working in corporate and independent restaurants, hotels, and country clubs. He has been a national presenter at the American Culinary Federation’s National Convention for six years and collaborates with local farmers to promote sustainability and minimize waste.
A passionate advocate for primal cooking techniques, Chef Jeffrey believes smoking food is a way to reconnect with tradition and achieve culinary perfection. He served as the President of the Palm Beach Chefs Association from 2018 to 2022 and has received numerous accolades, including Best Asian Fusion Restaurant in 2012 by Boca Magazine, Cutting Edge Chef of 2016 by the ACF, Chef of the Year in 2017 for the Palm Beach Chefs Association, Best Plant-based BBQ Restaurant – South East 2022, and the Presidential Gold Medallion from the American Culinary Federation in 2022.
